What I did wrong:

I spilled a gallon of Neptunes Harvest Fish Fertilizer on my basement floor.

What happened:

I knocked the damn gallon over and before I could grab it......a good couple glugs came out.

How I fixed it (or tried to):

Water....a lot of water and a shop-vac.

What I learned:

I don't want anything that stinks like dead ass in my house anymore.

It stunk for a while. That stuff seeped into the concrete and you could smell it for weeks. First day was like a dead fish market

Advice for beginners:

Don't pee into a headwind.....

But definitely think about what you bring inside

I think I did the exact same thing, lol. I was all done using fish based ferts.
Used the rest of it on the outdoor garden, drove the raccoons crazy.

That's funny! It happened a while ago for me....I definitely was not a beginner when I did it, just a dumbass stoner event lol

All stinky stuff stays outside now

I love it. I've got 2 4x4 raised beds, all organic, living soil with red wiggler composting worms and nightcrawlers. I top dress to amend after harvest and top dress a week before going into flower. I use a combination of Real Growers recharge and Jadam JMS\IMO for soil biology. I keep mulch on top( straw) all defoliation is left on top or put under the mulch. I make a couple ferments for supplemental feeding and added soil biology. I never worry about PH or overfeeding, as everything is organic and broken down into the soil, allowing the plants to take what they need. My biggest issue at first was watering, I wasn't keeping the soil as moist as I should have, but I figured it out by watching the plants and soil... if I move the mulch and the soil starts moving, I know my worms are happy and doing what they should. I'll also put some sliced pumpkin, when i have it, under the mulch with some apples a couple weeks into flower to get some more potassium and calcium to the root zone. I love the idea of recycling leaves\nutrients back into the soil and feeding the soil biology to feed the plants and make the nutes available. I don't automate watering as I'm in the room looking at and taking care of plants anyway... so I have a chair set up as I water with a wand. I'm growing in my basement in a room I walled off. To me, it's easier and efficient, and I'm always looking for ways and things to improve. It's what works for me.

Yeah that ain't shit
