I have the blues...

A couple of pics as the plants has struggled thru the heat wave.
Dutch passion Auto Euforias up first

And Blue haze / gelato Autos nextView attachment 7670

Right now ive got them tucked away as we finally have some heavy rains and thunder. Hoping on some nice growth, electric weather always seems to bring a nice little growth spurt.
The big pot/left Auto blue haze (which was the last to pop out of soil and with the worst initial impression) has just struck its first 5 finger leaf set on the third node.:)

Update time, 6 days after last pic of them making first 3-leaf sets:

Blue haze in the front and Euforias in the back. Right hand side is slightly better looking; though not very visible now at the end of the day they are generally a bit more perky and with nicer posture. Left hand side a little less and a bit smaller than their sisters but all are on the same node set.
In general: Blu Haze was first on both plants to strike 5 set leaves while Euforias had a head start on side branching.
Here the baby sisters, Euforia left BH right

The big sisters, BH right Euforia left:

Side shot of the big sisters. Love them all and happy with the growth rate, 3 nodes since Wednesday. Hope i can get a bit more vertical growth until they hit flower:)

They look pretty happy!
I agree, the only one im a bit iffy on is the big pot/lil sis euforia which has some weird spotting on its leaves aswell as a bit slow growth. Weve had less punishing weather the last week so theyve been growing better qnd theyve had rain water a few days; always prefer it to tap or RO.
Theres even a few tiny pistils but i hope i can get a bit more vertical growth out of them before budding. Stalks have more than double in thickness over just a week :)

Today the girls are looking extra perky and nice, theyve had some rain water and some thunder his morning, its a bit windy so they are slightly tucked away from the windowr parts of the terrace. Neighbour from across the street with roof top terrace even told me to get them off the table but seemed very unconcerned with horti-endeavours. Seems like a cool guy and i hope to get to know him even though its not really a neighbour friendly area - most just go in on with their own lives.
The photo also demos why i have favorites; right and in the back just look like they like to stretch out the branches a bit more and in general just look better than front and left. Stalks are a bit thicker aswell, around the size of a pencil. But love all of course. Everybody is striking their 7th node at the moment even though lilsisses look behind. Feels like a decent pace taking into account that were in wet towels 3 weeks ago and less than 2 weeks ago they were striking their first proper 1 leaves. All in all happy, just hope for things going well as we will have less and less light on the terrace as we get into sept/October.

Here they are another week after, on the 10th node and most of them is at least in preflower. Euforias on the right, blu haze on the left. The back euforia had a bit of wind damge, bending in the wind and they had some heavy rain which kinda kicked it off into flower a bit early.
Still using only water and root stimulator.

Ok, update time. Had excellent growth since last week, here above the Blue haze, back one is in flower and building trichomes, front one a little after in transition.

and then the Euforias, one is in midflower with trichomes, and leaves dont dropp even at night. The other one a bit bushier and a bit behind.

Ok, been a while since i updated- here we go. These are the two slower plants, Euforia in front and Blue haze in the back. Had to start adding some nutes as im seeing some yellowing. These two im not entirely sure how to finish, amount of sun hours per day is dropping quite a lot.

Maybe my friends place around the corner would work - different terrace orientation.

These are the better looking two- almost finished with just a few white pistils here and there.

The better looking Euforia will likely be the first one to go. Some close ups on buds.

Decent frost on it, best looking buds and very short stature. Smells fruity, i think carophylene.
Here the blue haze, its a little less developed in buds with nice hazy berry smells; not exactly like the one i had before but near.

I was wondering how you were doing.

Im doing alright but the not-green-forum life is keeping me quite busy, looking for work and such. Anyways heres a final pic of one of the Euforias that i chopped today. It ran for less than 60days so quite fast and very small, but i got final swell, brown pistils everywhere, not drinking anymore and faded leaves so time to go.

Buds look a bit fatter than the rest of the plants and frost seems on point.

Im so sorry for not giving a proper end update on the grow. Result was ok : blue haze > Euphoria and the slower two of them had to finish with fairly little sun due to muy terrace facing the shitty way. Ill see if theres some pics but i doubt it. Cant count on decent sun after october 15th is my lesson.
Spent the autumn smoking my bud in a somewhat excessive way, by the end i was giving it away in order to be clean for a bit. Feels much better and im thru the dark tunnel of divorce by now so starting smoke again in a more sensible way - not every night til i dropp out.

Main news and update is that im getting a chance to work with a really good friend/grower of mine to have the leds i made evaluated in good conditions - hopefully building in a couple of weeks if we can get all the gear together fast enough.

It's good to see you @Rocket Soul .

I didn't know you made LEDs. I'd be interested to hear more about that. I wonder if autos would benefit you on your terrace.
I will pop a few new autos and maybe even some photos on the terrace later this year but i need them to finish promptly at the start of October which isnt always easy.

Yes, i got into leds when they were still expensive in Euro and people were doing lots of DIY on riu. These are my first properly designed pcb strips for flower.
2700k 90cri white spectrum (slightly less efficient from what you would normally see in grow leds but with a spectrum which is low on blue and green and half of the spectrum red with a peak around 630nm) + 3 monos; in this case all red in different combos. I got a few with reds and uv made aswell. Here 10 strips (one is not working will redo connections) over a 320 driver : they get a bit warm without sinking but thats it. The spec is for 80w per strips for nominal powerlevels: same type of power per diode as a Diablo board. 420 diodes; 408 white and 12 reds.

I have two slightly different spectrums here that i wanna test at a good friends grow - slightly different profile both on the white diodes and the red ones -
This first test will be 2700k 90 cri regular +660x3 - the high efficiency alternative
Second is 2700k 90 cri but mixed regular with S90 narrow band + 660+680x2.
Slightly less efficiency but; but imho a better balance of the red sup and wider spectrum - in my limited testing at the old grow this has given a slightly better smell/taste quality with no noticeable difference in yield. Might be a little stretchier than the 660s.
Both will run with a full complement of uv diodes - the pcbs can fit the ledstars directly on top of them
