Hello from SFV

Hi!
I’m Jayme, and like my profile says, just an old gal growing weed.

My interest in cannabis is as an ancient holistic herb.

I started growing this amazing plant in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California in 1978. I believe I was the first to bring Widow to SFV and I’m still growing it, though today it is an indica-dominant pheno of Scott’s recreated cultivar from @shantibabaseeds.

I’ve grown alone, in co-ops, and for some of the first dispensaries in L.A. Lot of ups and downs that went with it but never stopped this amazing journey.

I have lots of old school experience with myriad strains. I’m hoping to impart my experience to anyone who desires it.

Hi!
I’m Jayme, and like my profile says, just an old gal growing weed.

For effect, it's still the Thai landrace.
For bag appeal, Gelato 41 so far.
For a plant in general, Bakers Dozen from @exoticgenetix has surprised me on every single grow:

Aw thank you! I was looking at my history trying to figure out how I stumbled across this site, and I think someone posted a link on GrassCity or TerpTrail and the two words, "grow" and "dolls", piqued my interest.

Kush Range and China are a no go for a girl since at least the mid 70s. Even at my bravest point in life, with the most brazen travel companions I've had, far too dangerous. And for now it's only getting worse.

I dipped into Vietnam and Laos but never saw any grows. I was fortunate in Thailand. My business hosts were well connected.

Kush Range and China are a no go for a girl since at least the mid 70s. Even at my bravest point in life, with the most brazen travel companions I've had, far too dangerous. And for now it's only getting worse.

Oh I didn't know,I just know China gives life for possession so thats tricky. Yea that mindset towards women in other countries is just awful.

Im not so sure. Spoke to a local chinese grower who said growing is not that hard but if you get done for dealing or intent of dealing then expect life or worse.

More beautiful plants, love it. For me im all about effect. Havent tried anything real thai though. Here in Barcelona theres lots of access to weed thru smoke clubs but sadly it looks like hypecuts is the main thing on the menu. My all time effect faves where Y Griega and Kate Mate - both are spanish euforic feelgood inside cuts which is what ive understood to be close to what you get from Thai oldschool.
My growbuddy still keeps a bunch of really old undiluted genetics; Himalaya/columbia and few more of pre 2000 stuff.

Not familiar with Kate Mate. Y Griega is based on two awesome sativas; Haze and Kali Mist. We know Haze came from California. Serious won't divulge the sources of KM, but I think it may contain Madness and PNG influence. I could be wrong on that one though.

Either way, both full on 12-15 week sativa's. Way too long for my grows.

Kate Mate: only ever had it once and have only ever seen it refered to once online. Something about Hurriclones(???) in Osona, Spain. It was extremely similar to Y Griega in effect, ansiolytic and feelgood vibes, like someone turned on the sun in your chest.

PNG and Madness are unkonwn to me aswell.

Still wanna try growing Kali Mist but i cant do indoor at the moment and outdoor wont work; by the time that finishes inwont have any sun in my terrace and likely to have humidity snd rain problems. 12-15w means a lot of investment, much prefer quicker growing stuff.
