Freaks, assemble!

those old hard drives are brutal.
The most brutal hard drives I can recall were the DEC (Digital Equipment Corp.) RA-81 and RA-82 multi-platter drives. Their actuator arms were quite long - and eventually, they "sagged" just enough to start scratching the surface of the actual disk platters. Read/write heads do not like those scratches on the surface of platters. We had RA drives dropping like flies one morning.

That decommission/replacement project for those 44 RA drives was a fun endeavour.

Somewhere around here I have a old relic MFM 5MB hard drive. Can't remember what I paid for it but remember it was expensive at the time. At the old house it was a door stop in the shed.
I have about a 10+ year old drive (just a WD nothing special) except it houses my Bitcoin wallet. It resides in icy, solitary splendor on the 9th level of the inferno. You see several of us bought a few bucks worth of bitcoin when it launched. I spent $20.00 and it was .03/bitcoin. You can do the math LOL. When it died I didn't think anything of it so without access to a clean room at the time I vacuum sealed it and put a twin I purchased to eventually rebuild. Anyway now I'm leaving it to my son as a gag inheritance.

He has clean room access :)

I was offered a payment in bitcoin when it was very young for this $200 job. I turned it down lol I said something like "no I'll take real money" oh what a dingleberry I can be.

On the other hand, I probably would've dumped it at 500 and then really kicked myself 😆

Don't feel too bad. When I started with AOL I told them to keep their stock. They could pay me in real money :) BTDT

You grow a heck of a flower tho!
Thank you very much @Dboybudz.
All those bud sites are something every time I see em.
So now I have some incentive to try and get even more tops. Hopefully for the next grow, I will have nets back up - this time with PVC frames and not wood trim frames that warp like crazy.

A scroggin' we will go ... a scroggin' we will go
