Have you ever seen roots form on top of a plug? I haven't. My clone box conditions were damn near aeroponic, I guess.

Switched to rockwool from peat plugs. They really hold water. Add a heat mat and you have 200% rh! They'll be fine

I've never used rockwool before.
Next time I do a tray I should do half rockwool half peat plugs. Rockwool is a little cheaper.
