12/12 Seed Company

Saw the Headband x Cap Junky on your site, are you doing Headband as well?
I got a couple of Hazeman's Headband seeds left, but rather try the the Bloomington.
No plans to do Headband yet. The Bloomington Headband was the main focus for the classic Sour Diesel terps and flavors. THT and myself are highly considering working the cross further to make our own 12/12 Sour Diesel offering! In the middle of a new reversal project so that will come a little later on.

Our next project has been underway for a little while now but its time to announce!

We have always wanted to work with Gorilla Glue #4 for obvious reasons. This reversal is going to be all about making some really exciting crosses that cover a wide range of genetics. We have what I would consider an ultra rare find included this round that we couldn't resist adding in!

1. Cap Junky - No way in hell we wouldn't include this one lol

2. Josh D OG - One of the most beautiful looking strains with classic OG terps! Another obvious pairing with GG#4 while we have Josh D OG in rotation.

3. Bloomington Headband - An elite tier Sour Deisel cut not to be slept on, this is an obvious choice to pair with GG#4.

4. Schrom - Romulan x Columbian Gold. Having worked with Central American Landrace genetics before I can definitely confirm the terps are
as Central American Landrace as they get. Quite the pleasurable effect and an amazing spin using landraces.

5. Rainbow Belts -
This came from a local family owned dispensary. Quite the modern powerhouse.

6. Green Dot - Red Froot -
This is the ultra rare find. We found a single seed in some of their bud. This is a very "red" berry forward strain in its terp profile. Too rare to not give a go with.

7. Midtown Haze - For decades THT and myself have been chasing the legendary Piff dragons tail. This cut has more promise than any of the other cuts or crosses we have tried to date and that is saying something.

Here is the GG#4 reversed mom in action!

Got the cut from Cloud Life whom has been awesome to work with. Per Cloud Life "The cut is the original forum cut of gorilla glue #4 which was passed around before Josie Wales became a thing"
wow the actual OG GG#4

now im abit jelous...!

always herd it was truly one of those clone only strains if you wanted a legit pheno... makes alittle more sense to me now, but still not completly. why does it lose desireable traits when converted to seed if you know as a breederski?

it that forum cut clone just the best pheno found so far?

If you were to ask me anytime you make seeds be it and F1 and beyond or an S1 there is always going to be some genetic/phenotype variation. An unchangeable law of the universe lol. Cuts are amazing when you want the same thing on repeat with no change. From a breeding perspective its also great because the source code is the same too. Creates some consistency in that regard.

If I had to take an intuitive guess. I would say the JW cut came from this forum cut on some level. Not certain is JW worked it to any degree but that would certainly change it a tad. If I recall the history correctly. JW made GG#4 famous and more widely available and this forum cut was passed around early in a tight circle before its breakout. IMO, if you were to ask me they are basically the same thing. THT and myself were not looking specifically for the forum cut. Cloud Life happens to have kept it all this time and we trust Cloud Life when sourcing genetics and he has a particular focus on strains like this.

That makes great sense.

Smoke Report and thoughts on - Bloomington Headband x Cap Junky

This strain is easily the top pick of the cycle. Smoke report is 10/10. Every bit of the headband terps came though with a potency kick. Plus, a nice twist from the Cap Junky. Structure of the Headband was improved/modernized and significantly frostier than the Headband mom. The way the smoke hangs in the after afterward is insanely pleasant. Big time flavor.

THT and myself are in agreement that this strain is going to be worked for a "12/12 Sour Diesel" offering. Such a great candidate to revamp a hidden classic. For real though, Bloomington Headband is entirely slept on. We will certainly be dropping this cross in the next breeding project with Magic Marker (Spoiler alert, thats what's next lol). There was some phenotype variation between the two as you would expect but after harvest and some drying out, I couldn't tell much difference.

Latest update from GG#4 reversal project. Everything is loaded up with seed!

Midtown Haze:

Very excited about her, classic Piff Haze terps and very loud. Been searching for the Piff for over a decade and she is the closest I've been able to find that lines up with what used to come around in the early 2000s.
