Whip-it-Out

The manicure may have been SLATED for Saturday ... but Mrs. Cronk wanted to leaf peep as things are getting much redder out there and the weather was nice. And apparently, dried yellow cannabis fans were not the leaves she was referring to - something about maples and ash and oaks. So we toured the Kawartha Lakes region and peeped all those OTHER leaves. Then we saw Simply Skynyrd do all of Lynyrd Skynyrds big hits at the Blue Heron Tribute Stage and I ran out of time.

So Cronk got up at 5:18, brewed the big pot of coffee, gave the pair of Fiskar's and the corn broom their pep talk and got down to it. Fast forward to 5+ hours later ...

We cranked it to 11 this morning.

There was not as much settling as I had expected so several of these were over filled for curing - there wasn't sufficient tumble room. So I had to resurrect the last few remaining empties to distribute the payload better. I have 18 of these 2L Bernardin jars ...

... and 17 of those are now full of weed. Tough problem to have ... innit?

At 1:00 PM, I settled in to see if my New York Giants could repeat the same feat of two weeks ago - this time in Philly. Roughly 1:45 PM, we lost our starting tailback to an ankle injury and I could see there was not going to be any repeat. "ARISE, MIGHTY FISKARS!", proclaimed the caveman as he walked away from Sportsball ...

... and cleaned all the LARF up. It's nice to be able to see the medium when looking from above. I am hoping that these tops will be nearly 3 times their current size by the time we chop in 40 days.

Mernin' troops :coffee:

So I trimmed up the G13 & Harlequin last night and popped 'em in jars.

Was a little surprised to see the Harlequin jar gauge reading 42%. Branches were dried to 16% as measured by the wood meter, so plenty of moisture to work with. Granted, I just popped them in there this morning, just seems low considering....

The G13 jar is reading out at 59% and that plant hung dried for 11 days. Harlequin hung for 7.

I'll check on the jars later today and see if they creep up. Just seemed odd.
