When I first started growing, I had all the additives—and no idea how to use them. Eventually, problems popped up, and the advice I kept hearing was to ditch the extras and focus on base nutrients.

For me, that turned out to be solid advice. But over time, I started getting curious again about what additives could actually do to improve my grow.

I haven’t documented it much, but lately I’ve been testing General Hydroponics KoolBloom with incredible success. If you’re not using it—or something similar—you’re leaving weight on the table. It has earned a permanent spot on my shelf.

This grow, I’ll be putting General Hydroponics Floralicious Plus to the test.

These clones are about three weeks old and have been getting Floralicious at every feeding since rooting. They’ll continue with it right through to harvest.

Yesterday, they were transplanted into their final pots and flipped to 12/12.

This will be my third La Bomba run, so I’ve got a solid baseline to compare against and should be able to spot any differences.

I really enjoy growing this strain — it’s easy to grow, easy to clone, finishes fast, and has an excellent leaf to calyx ratio.

I run a higher N at the very start of flower for three or four days then cut back the N.

GH CaliMagic 2ml/g
GH Liquid KoolBloom 2ml/g
GH Floralicious Plus 1ml/g
GH Flora Micro 4ml/g
GH Flora Gro 4ml/g
GH Flora Bloom 4ml/g

850ppm
pH 6.1

First day after a 12 hour nap.

They look great. First step in cannabis growing get them to the finish line. Learn what they look like under the simplest regimen and then start going all Dr. Frankenstein on them. Your grows were always magnificent now they are even better! How is that possible LOL. Anyway I drank the Kool Aid and added the Kool Bloom, thank you :eyesmoke:

I've been shopping around my current PK booster (AN Big Bud). I've been looking at going with sweet candy from green leaf nutrients. Its the PK boost 0-27-27 but it also comes with extra additives like kelp, carbs and fulvic and humic acids.

Actually sounds similar to Floralicious Plus

Vegetable protein hydrolysate, potassium sulfate,And 2% humic acid derived from micronized leonardite. And 20% sea kelp derived fromascophyllum nodosum

Yea except it doesn't have the high P-K for flowering. If I understand correctly the sweet candy is essentially kool bloom and Floralicious in one bottle. That's what the marketing has me believe anyway.

So far my impression of Floralicious is that it REEKS! Makes your res stink and looks dirty. I always clean my res between fills, this pic is after five days. Everything that it touches looks filthy!

I killed My GG#4 and Permanent Marker moms. Been keeping the GG#4 for years with no plans to grow it again. I hated Permanent Marker so there was no point keeping it. Just one mom now. La Bomba, I hooked up the small manifold yesterday so I don't have to keep up with its watering.
