Nice and thanks. A quick question for you.. is the small batch STS still working for you, and is the Schedule still working. I bought some STS and had disappointing results.. so I'll be making my own soon. I got a couple 4x4x18 grow beds... on the bottom i placed some branches and small "logs"..using that as a Hugelkultur base.. i then layered my old soil that i add reamending with Down to Earth fertilizer, a layer of peat moss, a layer of Kow Manure from my local store, another layer of soil, peat, manure, and then the top 6 inches was more old soil that was mixed with perlite, I also added some biochar into the top layer. At that point I switched over to Build A Soils Craft Blend Fertilizer, and top dressed with that. I added Red wiggler Worms, and a couple grows later added Nightcrawlers( red wigglers for the tops layer, nightcrawlers for the lower layer of soil). I keep the beds mulched with straw, sometimes more than others. I'll add a quarter cup of Craft Blend fertilizer around any plants a week before flipping and once a week in Flower I'll water in Build A Soil's Build a Bloom fertilizer. I make KNF Lab Serum, , Jadam IMO for soil biology and add that once every week or 2nd week. I make a Fermented liquid extract for flower using banana, apple, and pumpkin when I have it and sometimes add carrots, then add that to watering once a week in flower. I also have a worm bin (red wigglers) to make worm castings, I also add banana, apple, pumpkin, trimmed leaves and other food waste to the worm bin, then i'll use that as a top dress when reamending the soil and pre flower amending.I reamend the soil after harvest with 8 cups of Craft Blend fertilizer. I use rainwater for watering that I collect and run that into 2 - 90 gallon aquariums and run a filter on each one to keep the water "clean". the rainwater usually has TDSs of 18-24 ppm so I make my own Cal-mag, well, mostly just calcium. I make that by using Aragonite Aquarium Sand mixed with White Vinegar and stir it every couple days until there are no more bubble when stirring, usually a couple weeks( KNF WCA ) I usually just add the CAL to my watering, every once in a while I add some epsom salt for a touch of magnesium and sulfur. To water, I use a sump pump in the aquarium and garden house with a spray wand so I can sit and water under the plants. Any defoliation is just dropped on the beds to let the worms and biology return any nutrients back to the soil. I may sound like a lot, but it's fairly quick and efficient to maintain. The only thing I would change is not using wood branches and logs in the bed as it brought in pillbugs\rolly pollies... they decompose organic matter as well, but every once in a while I have to clean some out with cut potato and toss them. I love pulling back the mulch and seeing the worms move around
