This morning I picked about 6 horn worms off of my pepper plants and tonight I saw the moth that lays the horn worms. It was a pretty big critter. Apparently there are two kinds of horn worm, the tobacco horn worm and the tomato horn worm I think.

Time for me to water everything and I think it's my turn to wash dinner dishes.

Today I will attempt to bake a sourdough loaf and a focaccia bread so we will have some bread for the week. It's about 10 minutes of hands on work stretched through 10 hours of time. This morning I found one more horn worm on the pepper plant. I saw his poop on the floor and new the assignment.

Those guys can eat. If you have a UV flashlight, go out at night and look. Hornworms flouresce and they're easy to spot.

Bread on a 10-hour schedule, hornworms on a 10-minute rampage. Balanced ecosystem. I’ve never heard that UV trick before—does it feel like cheating or just leveling the playing field? I'm gonna have to check it out.
